loft conversion 

Throughout May and June 2024, I assisted Tai at Mensa Carpentry with a timber-framed dormer window loft conversion in Norwich. See more pictures on the Mensa Carpentry Instagram feed. This was my first time working on a building project of this scale. I learned a lot about general building best-practice, regulations and problem-solving! I helped with everything from studwork framing to insulation, plasterboarding and window-fitting.

Tai is a skilled and thoughtful carpenter who took a chance on me as an aspiring carpenter wanting to build on my training and experience. He's gaining a reputation for both major renovations and other carpentry jobs such as alcove shelving, cupboards, pergolas and flooring. Check out Mensa Carpentry on Google.
